


National craft distillery required strategic brand storytelling to connect with consumers
The Spirits Workshop, the home of Curiosity Gin and Divergence Whisky, already possessed a strong product and well-designed logos. However, their digital presence was missing a vital component—a narrative that truly connected with their audience. While the existing packaging was functional, it lacked a deeper story that resonated with consumers on an emotional level.
Not every brand story starts with a blank canvas, and this project was a prime example. The foundation was there, but the brand was one-dimensional. They needed to move beyond the physical bottle and weave a narrative experience that would elevate their messaging and marketing across all channels.


Solving the problem of the one-dimensional brand
The primary challenge was transforming a functional logo and bottle into a brand that resonates with meaning. We took a collaborative approach, working alongside the distillery team to craft a brand experience that packs a punch. Our task was to weave a story around the existing assets, creating a digital ecosystem where the product's history and craft were front and centre.
By acting as the strategic bridge, we ensured that the Curiosity and Divergence brands felt distinct yet unified under the distillery's umbrella. We focused on the idea that a premium spirit requires a premium digital journey, moving the brand from a simple product provider to a storyteller in the craft spirits market.

- Strategic messaging. We refined the brand voice to ensure the story of the distillery's process and ingredients was told with authority and personality, making the brand feel more accessible and engaging.
- The wireframe foundation. We developed a content-first architecture that allows the distinct personalities of the Curiosity and Divergence ranges to shine while maintaining a seamless path to purchase and wholesale enquiries.
- The essential marketing tool. By delivering the site on a flexible, low-code platform, we empowered the distillery team to launch new seasonal releases and manage marketing campaigns instantly. The website is no longer a static brochure but a dynamic tool that evolves alongside their product line.
